IIEF places great emphasis on institutional strengthening and capacity building and is a well regarded and highly credible provider of such services in the context of the Indian financial and pension sectors. Since 1994, IIEF has designed and hosted 46 international level financial policy and business conferences on funds management, infrastructure financing, derivatives, postal reforms, financial sector reforms, fixed income markets and capital markets, in collaboration with a range of Government institutions, private financial houses and multilateral and bilateral aid agencies. IIEF also hosts an annual pensions policy conference since 1998. IIEF has conducted over one hundred workshops and seminars on financial policy, regulations and practices and some sixty cutting-edge courses for CEOs, CFOs and senior management of banks, financial firms and manufacturing companies in the areas of risk management, derivatives, securities markets, etc. with faculty drawn from Stern School , Harvard, Berkley and NUS. In 2004, IIEF launched its Thursday Seminars -- these are aimed at fostering a pensions community in India and hosted in the IIEF office and attended by invitation. Representatives of the DEA, MOL, PFRDA, EPFO, multilateral agencies including ILO, World Bank, USAID, and ADB, as well as senior executives from private financial firms regularly participate in these seminars. |
